HopeRoad is an organization that offers short-term humanitarian trips and aid both domestically and abroad during times of disaster and need.
Whether you are an individual, family, or religious/secular organization, we will work to create a life-changing trip that will meet and exceed your expectations.
We work to build and lead teams of volunteers to offer relief in communities that need it the most. This is accomplished via our local partners best situated to assess, respond, and prepare for long-term recovery.
MEET THE TEAM
Stephanie is a visionary and service advocate who began as an International Missions Coordinator for Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA. She has led thousands of volunteers on humanitarian projects both domestically and abroad, and has over 15 years experience in both training and mentoring lay leaders in the mobilization of their own teams worldwide.
“I believe that there is no greater goal for the human spirit than to touch another’s life, alleviate their pain and suffering, make a small but loving connection with them, and let them know they are loved and have value. And I am passionate about offering that opportunity to others.”
Kevin is an accomplished technical director, with over 25 years experience in supporting hardware, software, help desk and global network operations. He maintains certifications in project management (PMP) and information privacy (CIPT).

Kristin is a marketing professional with a passion for communicating, no matter what form it takes. With more than 15 years of experience working in the areas of public relations, social media, event management, and proposal writing, Kristin brings a wealth of knowledge to HopeRoad. She is an active volunteer in her church specifically in youth activities, as well as with several charity and service organizations.
“The idea of combining my experience in the corporate arena with a heart for helping advance the idea of humanitarianism in every day lives was particularly exciting for me. I knew right away that I wanted to be a part of HopeRoad, and I’m thrilled to work with Stephanie and Kevin to build something that matters.”

Stephanie, what inspired you to create HopeRoad?

I started HopeRoad because I saw an opportunity to bridge the gap between those who have a heart to serve and those teams on the ground who need support. I’ve found that without certain types of specialized training, many people with a desire to serve have a hard time finding a platform on which to help. I wanted to create that platform.

Tell me about who you partner with.
|

|
We partner with existing non-profit organizations who have a proven track record in their specific niche. I have an enormous amount of respect for those organizations who are committed to an area or cause, and who have already accurately and effectively assessed the needs of those they are there to serve. We support the time and effort they’ve invested to make the important assessment and decisions. We are strictly a support system to these already established organizations, providing manpower, training, and whatever other support we can bring.

What kind of experience can a volunteer with HopeRoad expect?
|
|
|
We may be repairing homes in Appalachia, building a playground in Brazil, or providing support to a medical clinic in Ethiopia – with each unique experience, a volunteer can expect to be challenged by that which may draw them out of their comfort zone, and transformed by the personal connections they’ll make with those they’ve come to serve. My goal is to see that at the end of a trip, each and every team member has a fire burning within them to continue a life of service.
