HAITI UPDATE – HURRICANE MATTHEW

Hurricane Matthew recently tore through Haiti destroying over 80% of their crops, washing away valuable livestock, and most importantly claiming over 1,000 lives. Having not fully recovered from the earthquake of 2010, Haiti is in more dire need than ever. HopeRoad is sending a team to assist with disaster relief on December 14th through the 20th, and we’d love for you to join us. No prior experience is required, and we can use your talents to make a difference. We’ll be staying in a very safe and secure structure with fresh bottled water for all of our needs.

When not working on hurricane relief, we may be participating in the following tasks:

• Help to finish a school which is currently educating over 500 students. We’ll be finishing the flooring, painting, installing electrical, and installing windows. NO CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! 
• Visit nearby villages to love and encourage the children there, while delivering much needed clothing and toiletries. 
• Helping with Pr. Benite’s vision of an educational youth center, which will educate young leaders in areas of the benefits of a strong work ethic, financial management, and other transferable life skills. 

We’ll be staying in a gated guesthouse with all meals included. 

No experience is necessary, just an open heart for the beautiful people of Haiti. This will be a life changing trip! 

Dates of Trip: December 14th through December 20th
Trip Fee: $1250.00 per team member

Trip fee includes airfare, *food, and lodging. A non-refundable deposit of $400 is due upon submission of these forms and will go toward your trip fee. Your spot on the trip is not confirmed until all forms and deposit are received by HopeRoad.

The Fine Print: Upon acceptance of your application, you will receive a confirmation email containing our required release of liability and other trip participant forms.

• All trip participants are required to submit to a background check prior to participation. All personal information is kept confidential.

• *Meals are provided by our hosts for the duration of our stay. Any other meals purchased by a participant is solely at their expense.

• **All fees, whether provided by team members or sponsors, are entirely tax deductible

• Due to our 501(c)3 status, all donations made by, or on behalf of, trip participants are non-refundable. Trip fees and/or donated funds will all be used for the designated trip.
